One Return of Attention
You do not need to change your habits immediately or become completely calm. It is enough to try one small return.
Returning attention does not mean the emotion disappeared. It means a little space appeared between the stimulus and the next action.
The practice is not measured by perfection, but by the fact that at least once you noticed an automatic movement and were not completely absorbed by it.

What is actually happening now, and where is attention already beginning to pull you?

One calm interval without an immediate answer or action.

Return to the task, leave a trace, postpone the decision, or leave the topic for later.
